IPL AUCTION 2026 OVERVIEW
Interest in the IPL Mini Auction 2026 is growing quickly as teams start getting ready to build their rosters for the forthcoming season of the IPL. It will be conducted in Abu Dhabi, UAE, on 16 December, and teams will have limited opportunities to get players.
369 players have signed up for the auction, but only 77 players can be chosen by 10 teams so the competition for these players will be very fierce and very tactical.

TEAMS WITH THE LARGEST AMOUNT OF MONEY LEFT TO SPEND
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have the largest remaining amounts to spend of all franchises in the auction. Together both teams need 22 players which will allow them much power in how the auction plays out.
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) is likely to be another significant player in the auction. With a remaining amount of ₹25.5 crores, SRH has to sign 10 more players to complete their roster.
TOP NAMES AT IPL AUCTION 2026 TO REMEMBER
As the IPL auction approaches, experts and insiders predict that Australian all-rounder Cameron Green may attract the largest bid in history. It is believed that franchises like KKR and CSK will make an aggressive push to acquire him.
For Indian players, the following are likely to be highly sought after:
Sarfaraz Khan.
Ravi Bishnoi.
Venkatesh Iyer.
On the international side of things, several explosive players, including Liam Livingstone and Jake Fraser-McGurk, may also generate bidding wars for their services.
