Safyaan Sharif is an English-born Scottish cricketer, who made his ODI debut for Scotland against Netherlands in the Intercontinental Cup One-Day competition. He registered impressive figures of 4 for 27 in his first game itself. In September 2011, he made his First-Class debut against Namibia, with his second First-Class appearance coming against UAE in the 2012 Intercontinental Cup.
Sharif played a crucial role in Scotland's success in the World Cup Qualifiers in 2014. He picked up 14 wickets in the tournament, thus earning a place in the 15-man squad for the 2015 World Cup.
