A spinning allrounder coming through the ranks in South Africa, well that is a rare sight. A left-arm spinner and left-hand bat, George Linde started his first class career at the age of 20 with Western Province. He also turns out for Cape Cobras.
The left-arm tweaker has remarkable first class numbers. In fact, Linde has done extremely well in all three formats of the game. He has over 200 scalps in the three forms, which included a 10-wicket haul in four-day game as well.
Linde is more than a useful lower-order batsman. A batting average of 23 in the longer format that also includes a ton. He has over 1000 first class runs to his name. With age on his side, Linde should break into the A side or the academy squads soon. During the Global T20 League auctions, Benoni Zalmi snapped up Linde for the upcoming tournament..
