Durham Marylebone Cricket Club University, Durham, Hampshire, Surrey
Born in California, Cameron Steel has played age group cricket all round the world. He's played for Somerset, Western Australia and even for Middlesex's second XI before settling at Durham. An impressive 2017 season ensured that the club extended his contract until the end of the 2019 season.
A right-hand middle order batsman, Steel caught Durham's attention while playing for Durham MCCU in a pre-season encounter. He currently holds the record for the youngest double centurion in Durham's history. The knock came in 2017 against Lancashire - a season where he mustered over 800 runs and was one of the bright spots in a disastrous campaign.
Steel is also an able leg-spinner and Durham are leaving no stone turned to make sure he develops his leg-break..
