A hard hitting lower order batsman and a skidding left-arm speedster, Ben Dwarshuis plays for Sydney Sixers in the BBL. He debuted for them in 2014 and in his third season in BBL 06, featured in all the 10 games for them with 13 wickets to his name.
A regular member of the NSW second XI, Ben has been regularly plagued by injuries which has forced him to miss a lot of games. Though he was included for the Matador BBQ's One-Day cup for 2016-17 but featured in only the season opener for NSW against Cricket Australia XI.
Dwarshuis received a couple of IPL call-ups - first when he was bought by the Punjab franchise in 2018 and second when he was signed as a replacement by the Delhi Capitals in 2021. However, he didn't get a game during either seasons. While he was also called up to the national T20 side, an international debut would have to wait till 2022 when he featured in a one-off T20I against Pakistan. Seen primarily as a white-ball specialist, Dwarshuis made his first-class debut for New South Wales in the 2022/23 season.
