Standing at almost 200 cms - Beau Webster is a solid top-order batsman and a handy bowler who can bowl both off-breaks and medium pace. Beau Webster plays for Tasmania in the Sheffield Shield. He made his first-class cricket debut in the Sheffield Shield against Queensland at Hobart in February 2014. Webster first burst onto the scene with dominant performances in the Tasmanian Premier League.
At only 20, Webster amassed 677 runs at 45.13 for his local side Kingborough and was awarded a rookie contract in 2012-13 and made his first-class debut the season after. He also got picked by the Hobart Hurricanes for BBL but warmed the benches for the first couple of seasons. In the 2016-17 BBL, he finally got a chance to play and showed his mettle in a few games. During the transfer window ahead of BBL 07, Melbourne Renegades picked him up. After a couple of seasons for the Renegades, Webster moved to the Melbourne Stars in 2021/22.
Webster has also represented Australia A in September 2016 against India A and put up a few memorable performances. His strong mental aspect was also seen when he scored a ton for Cricket Australia XI in September 2017 in their opening game of the JLT One Day cup after being ignored by his home team - Tasmania.
In 2023, Webster played for Essex in the One-Day Cup and finished as both the team's leading run-scorer and the leading wicket-taker.
