Hailing from Himachal Pradesh, Rishi Dhawan is an Indian all-rounder who generally bats in the middle-order. He is known to have a deceptive slower one and is also handy with the to bat.
Dhawan first made headlines as a 16-year-old boy in 2006, when he amassed 340 runs for Himachal in a U-19 match against Railways in the Cooch Behar Trophy.
The all-rounder finished the 2013-14 season of Ranji Trophy as the highest wicket-taker with 49 wickets and was selected in India 'A' squad for the Australian tour.
Dhawan made his ODI debut for India against Australia on January 17, 2016. He then made his T20I debut against Zimbabwe on June 18, 2016.
Rishi Dhawan graduated from being an opening batsman in junior cricket to a seam-bowling allrounder, who largely relies on slow variations and cutters. His domestic performances for Himachal Pradesh, a bulk of which came in seamer-friendly conditions in Dharamsala, earned him an ODI debut during the limited-overs series in Australia in January 2016..
