About Player

In a country known for its quality spinners, Fareed Malik is a left arm pacer who's got limited number of opportunities in his international career so far. Malik made his ODI debut in 2014 and in the last five years, the left-arm medium pacer has played only 5 ODIs. Afghanistan usually play with more number of spinners than fast bowlers, hence Malik has got very few chances to feature for Afghanistan. He made his T20I and ODI debut - both against UAE but it's against Ireland where Malik has enjoyed more success.

Malik's best ODI performance came at Noida where the left-arm pacer took three wickets against Ireland and as a result of his noteworthy contribution Afghanistan won that ODI comfortably.
