Andries Gustav Stephanus Gous is a wicket-keeper and a right handed batsman. For a wicket-keeper his numbers as a batsman are quite impressive with an average of almost 40. Gous was a part of the Free State's squad during the 2018 Africa T20 Cup. He was also the joint-leading run-scorer for Free State in the tournament as he scored 155 runs in the four matches Gous played. When it comes to his batting, Andries believes to score boundaries more than taking the singles and twos. He has scored centuries in all three formats and can walk into any side on his reputation to hit big shots besides his excellent skills with gloves.
Being only 24 at present, Andries Gous has a long career lying ahead of him. He can easily reach close to 7000 runs by the end of his first-class career if he continues scoring runs at the same rate and if he maintains his batting average. Gous has an awesome strike of 140 in the shortest of the sport and can prove to be a destructive T20 batsman at times..
